Cycling through Serbia gives an intense experience of the landscape and the people. While the North of the country is quite flat the area south of Belgrade is a bit more challenging for cyclists but has great views.

Danube.travel is a multi-media, interactive web portal that promotes Danube as a single travel destination where you might find several cycling routes along the Danube in Serbia with detailed descriptions and GPS files to download.

Cycle Routes

The only long distance cycling route so far designated in Serbia is the Danube Cycle Route going over 665 km from the Hungarian border near Apatin to the Bulgarian border near Negotin. You will find designated signposts everythere. The most beautiful part of the route is the way through the Iron Gate (Đerdap) where you cycle on a very quiet but good road.
